About Donna Marie

Hey friend! I'm Donna Marie Tyree, and I'm so happy you stopped by.

My writing journey began in elementary school with a simple prompt book, but imposter syndrome and a lack of community sidelined my dream for years as an adult. It wasn't until I connected with other writers that I found my confidence, honed my craft over a decade of courses and collaboration, and finally brought my stories to life.

Today, I'm the author of the chapter book series The Fantastical Adventures of Nova and Locke and the early reader series Otter and Fox.

I'm also the creator behind the KidLit Café, a cozy space where I share self-publishing tips, behind-the-scenes vlogs, and real-talk encouragement to help fellow authors conquer self-doubt and publish wholesome, fun books for kids.

Whether you're here to discover your next favorite kids' book or gather the tools to write your own, grab a cup of joe, tea, or a matcha latte, and pull up a chair.

Smile :)
